Join Thousands For The No Impact Project Experiment: A One-Week Carbon Cleanse

The Sierra Club and No Impact Project have partnered up to host the No Impact Project Experiment, a one-week experiment to see whether money and stuff really make you happier than living earth-friendly. It’s a one-week carbon cleanse that begins Sunday, August 29. Each day is a challenge in a different area of low-impact life.

Sign up for free on their website, and you’ll receive a No Impact Project Experiment guide, detailing the tasks for each day.

I’m joining in on the festivities. I’ve only done about a third or less of what the guide advocates, so there’s plenty more for me to explore! I’ll be blogging about my experience on my site, Upcycled Love.

Action tip: The best attitude going into this, if you’ve never thought to reduce your impact further, is to do what you can. Start with the things that come easiest to you, and take it one step at a time. Make one batch of baking soda and vinegar cleaner, then move on to other homemade things.

Hang out at Love and Trash for more ideas!

I just signed up and I have no idea what the challenges are going to be. OK, I know a bit but I’m taking a leap of faith here!

Go you! I was a little worried too before signing up, but I figured, what the heck, I’m not looking for gold stars, I just want to try something new! No pressure, just an experiment! ;D

I like that advice about the right attitude. And I’ll be following the blog with interest!
