Russell Rayford

Russell F Rayford is an artist who has a wide and varied style of art. Starting with pencil drawing as a child, Russell developed his realism talent. After a five year hiatus, at the age of 18 he started painting and designing clothing and logos, before gradually gravitating towards canvas. Currently Russell is a student at TMCC and is pursuing a degree in architecture. Although Russell has had no formal training, his art has no bounds in regards to style, medium, or technique. Russell has a passion for art and loves to share his techniques. He believes that art is not something that is available to the select few and that everyone has some degree of artistic talent.

Russell firmly believes that art is not painting what people like or tailoring it to an audience, but rather creating whatever you feel inside to express yourself, opinions, and beliefs. Art will find its own audience.

Russell is an artist-in-residence at the TRS Gallery in Reno, NV.
