This contest is closed!
Come see the amazing winning entries.

Hi everybody, Amber here. We’re a quarter of the way through NO PANTS 2011, so I think it’s time YOU took your pants off! Don’t worry, I’m handing out prizes to sweeten the deal.

Fiskars scissors (who make one hell of a scissor let me tell you) and the Fiskateers have partnered with NO PANTS to bring you the No Pants FRISKY FISKARS Upcycle Challenge!

“Holy shit Amber!! What does that mean?!” you are probably asking yourself. Well check it:

Starting today you have 30 days to find up to two pairs of pants and create an article of clothing or an accessory with them.

For inspiration, check out my upcycle projects: the Carhartt Skirt, the Old Man Sweatpant Top, and the Leather Pant Purse.

Once you’ve created your masterpiece, send me a photo and a description of the original pants: dutchgirl at loveandtrash dotcom.

At the end of the month I will showcase the winners in my column AND give the Grand Prize winner a gift basket of Fiskars products:

Now that’s a gift basket. Total value on that baby: $194.70.

Two runners-up get a 45mm Classic Stick Rotary Cutter and a 6″x18″ Self-Healing Cutting Mat, valued at $24.

So get your scissors, glue, sewing machines, hand machines, and god knows what else together, and make something awesome!! In the meantime, follow me here on Love and Trash, on Facebook, and on NoPants2011.com.

Fine print: Entry period closes at 11:59pm April 30 2011. Winners will be chosen by ME. Everybody else can enter, even the Love and Trash editors, but they can’t be mad if they don’t win.
